Privacy Policy

Hi, I'm Jenna Dancy, and this is my website, jennadancy.com ("the site"). I'm a mom running a small business from our homestead in New Hampshire, USA. Your privacy matters to me, and this policy explains in plain language what information I collect, why, and what choices you have. If you have any questions, email me at jenna@jennadrew.com.

What I collect

Information you give me

  • When you sign up for a freebie or my emails (like The 2-Minute Feel Good Morning): your first name and email address.

  • When you message me or comment a keyword on Instagram or Facebook: your Instagram or Facebook name, your messages, and anything you choose to share in our conversation, such as your email address or your answer to a question.

  • When you visit my site: basic details about your visit, like the pages you view, your device and browser, and how you found me (see "Information collected automatically" below).

  • When you buy a course or digital product (for example on my Stan Store): your name, email, and payment details. Payments are processed by the store and its payment processor. I never see or store your full card number.

  • When you fill out my contact form: your name, email, and your message.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, Squarespace and similar tools automatically collect basic information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, how you arrived at the site, and the date and time of your visit. This is done with cookies and similar technologies (more on that below).

Please don't send me sensitive health information. I'm not a doctor and I don't need it to help you.

How I use your information

  • To send you what you asked for, like the free guide or a course you bought

  • To send you emails, including my welcome series, tips, and occasional offers (you can unsubscribe anytime)

  • To reply to your messages, comments, and questions

  • To understand which content is helpful so I can make the site and my emails better, and to show my ads on Facebook and Instagram to people who might like them

  • To process purchases and give you access to products

  • To follow the law, prevent fraud, and keep the site secure

I do not sell your personal information.

Who I share it with

I only share your information with trusted services that help me run my business, and only what they need to do their job:

  • Squarespace: hosts this website

  • Kit (ConvertKit): sends my emails and stores my email list

  • ManyChat and Meta (Instagram and Facebook): deliver automatic replies when you comment a keyword or message me on Instagram or Facebook

  • Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram ads): helps me show my content and offers to people who might find them helpful, and measure how my ads perform

  • Stan Store and its payment processor: sell and deliver my digital products and courses

  • Analytics tools built into these services: help me see how the site and my emails are used

Each of these companies has its own privacy policy. I may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect my rights or someone's safety.

Product links and doTERRA

I'm an independent doTERRA Wellness Advocate. When you click my link and buy doTERRA products, you're taken to doTERRA's website, and doTERRA collects and handles your order and account information under its own privacy policy. I earn a commission on those purchases. doTERRA may share basic order details with me (like your name and what you ordered) so I can support you and check in on how you're doing.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. The site uses them to work properly, remember your preferences, and measure visits. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as well. If you're visiting from a region that requires it, you'll see a cookie banner where you can choose what to allow.

Advertising (Meta Ads)

I run ads on Facebook and Instagram. To do that, I use Meta's tools, such as the Meta Pixel, on this site. The Pixel uses cookies to see actions you take here, like visiting a page or signing up for my free guide. Meta uses this to show my ads to people who are likely to be interested (including people who have visited my site before), and to tell me how well my ads are working. I may also upload a protected (hashed) version of my email list to Meta to show ads to subscribers or to similar audiences, or to avoid showing ads to people who already joined.

I never see your personal Facebook or Instagram activity. Meta handles this information under its own privacy policy.

Your choices: you can change your ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings under Ad Preferences, block cookies in your browser, or opt out of interest-based ads through the Digital Advertising Alliance or, in the EU, Your Online Choices. You can also email me and I'll remove you from any audience lists I upload.

Emails and messages

Every email I send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it and you'll stop getting marketing emails from me. On Instagram and Facebook, you can stop automated messages at any time by not replying, or by messaging me "STOP." You can also email me and I'll remove you myself.

Your rights and choices

You can ask me to:

  • Tell you what personal information I have about you

  • Correct anything that's wrong

  • Delete your information

  • Stop sending you marketing emails or messages

Just email me at jenna@jennadrew.com and I'll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example California, other US states with privacy laws, the EU or the UK), you may have additional rights, such as receiving a copy of your data or objecting to how it's used. I'll honor those requests too. If you're in the EU or UK, I rely on your consent (for emails) and my legitimate interest in running my small business (for site analytics and replying to you), and you can withdraw consent at any time.

Children

This site is meant for adults. I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you think a child has given me their information, email me and I'll delete it.

How long I keep it

I keep your information as long as you're on my email list, have an active purchase or conversation with me, or as long as I need it for taxes, records and legal reasons. When it's no longer needed, I delete it.

Keeping it safe

I use reputable, secure services and limit who can access your information. No website or app is 100% secure, but I take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Changes to this policy

If I update this policy, I'll change the effective date at the top. For bigger changes, I'll let my email subscribers know.
